Not Just Any Girl


I’m attempting to recall when the girl, Yalda, drew close to the ancient construct. It appeared to be some sort of sarcophagus for a creature unknown to me, maybe even a deity. After shedding her garments, Yalda entered, forming possibly a bond with the temple itself. The stone liquefied, morphing down to her every curve. What was this ancient sorcery and how did this little girl play such a pivotal role in it? My wonderment was quickly overpowered by my boiling blood, forged from the sound of what was storming the temple stairwell…the very evil that I owe my existence to…
